Air-Britain Books Air-Britain publishes in-house, 15-20 books and monographs each year. Members buy at special prices with as much as one-third off general bookstall retail price. 70+ titles in stock. A range of non Air-Britain titles is also sold.
Air-Britain Information Exchange (ab-ix) ab-ix is a members only internet message board. Exchange information on all aspects of aviation. Also provides members with a guide to UK airfields and their residents.
Specialists Access to Air-Britain experts on a huge variety of subjects.
Photograph images collection (ABPIC) A specialist photographic website open to all to post their own aircraft photos and enjoy those provided by others.
Photographic Services Air-Britain maintains monochrome and colour slide libraries where copies can be obtained by members only at prices considerably less than those charged by commercial sources.
Travel Air-Britain Travel organises tours for members and their immediate family from the UK to many areas. Apart from Western Europe and the continental USA, trips have been made recently to Alaska and Eastern Europe.
Libraries Air-Britain maintains two libraries - a reference library at Brooklands (available at present only by arrangement) and another at Tunbridge Wells which can provide copies of all past Air-Britain publications on loan.
Fly-Ins For many years, the Air-Britain Fly-In has gathered in large numbers of aircraft, both flown in by our members and from outside, the event being open to the public. Members only are allowed access to the aircraft parking areas. Our maximum assembly to date has been 240 aircraft at Middle Wallop. Other airfields used have included Old Warden, White Waltham, Duxford, North Weald, Wroughton, Wellesbourne Mountford, Staverton and Coventry. See www.air-britainflyin.co.uk
Branches A network of branches exists where members can meet their fellow enthusiasts, and they provide a range of activities. These are currently situated in Blackpool, Bournemouth, Chiltern, Heathrow & Heston, London Society, Luton, Manchester, North East, Rugby, Severnside, South-West Essex, Solent, Stansted, West Cornwall, and West Midlands. There are also branches in France and the Netherlands.
